Difference between Prototype & Model?

Difference between Prototype & Model? if possible give with example.

Hi, prototypes are use for improvement of product. Whether the designed product is good or not in assembly and all fitments. If there are changes in proto then we make changes in CAD model and then again make new prototype. When the prototype is final then CAD data is send for tooling, and tool get prepared. it reduces the edit of tool if the design get fails.

Actually a prototype is made before starting of final production of a product where we check the interference or clearance between corresponding components. Where a model is an actual product of we get after final production.

Prototype is a feasible component. Which is used to identify ideal fitment and assembly. Modal is a soft CAD component. Which is used to make prototype and actual component. If Prototype is not accurate. Than we can change in CAD modal. Than reproduce the prototype. If it is accurate. Than CAD modal data is send for production.
