How to import a CATIA part file in ANSYS?

Postby sameer » Sat Nov 05, 2016 4:31 pm

Hey my name is Sameer, I am facing difficulty in importing a CATIA solid part, in ANSYS. Moreover CATIA file cannot be converted to parasolid format which ANSYS can accept.

Thanks

Hello,

To import file firstly you have to select the type of analysis you want to do, then right click on geometry and browse for the file location. then generate the 3D model in Design modeler window.

Thanks.

Hi,
I am Murari
First you have to save the CATIA file in that format which is supported by ANSYS like IGES file format then pick it and drag in ANSYS.

Thanks
