How can we use Thread and Tap Command?

This is ubes,
I want to design threads on a cylindrical body so I used Thread and Tap Command. Which is going to specified only in my Specification tree. But I didn’t know what the main difference between thread and tap.

Hi ubes,
The thread basically use for making thread on outer surface and Tap is basically used to generate threads on inner surface. And I must tell you one more thing while using these two options on Catia they will only represent you in specification tree.
