Hey Anita, In AutoCAD mainly, .dwg file format is used. Sometime DXF is also use to import file in other software’s.

This is Kamlesh,
In AutoCAD, these are the common formats which are generally used- dwg, dws, dwt, dxf and if you want to import or export your file into other CAD tool so you can convert it into iges format.

hi, i'am kamlesh,
There are different file formats used in different CAD software, whereas AutoCAD is used dxf, dws, dwt and dwg file formats.
